Femme Fatale depicts three female characters often depicted in society; the boss, the showgirl and the socialite. All three personas are seen confidently posing, in power stances, as a bold expression against the traditional male gaze. We see the bodies and not the faces of the three female forms as a way of focusing on what they represent as opposed to their beauty. It's intention is to subvert the notion that the female experience can be reduced to these roles - characters that are all centred upon a performance of allure or power. In truth the female experience is multifaceted, deep and complex - but most importantly governed by the self and not by society.
